Failure to properly conduct research on a product or its market will almost guarantee failure. Never select a product based on your instincts, or maybe it looks like a 'sure sell.' Don't let any perks from affiliate programs compel you to choose a product. Choose your products based on your own criteria for buying. Would you enjoy promoting the product? Do you believe in it enough to be comfortable selling it? Never sell any product that turns out to be worthless and valueless. Sooner or later your reputation will suffer and that will affect your business.

Lots of Internet marketers think that list building is something that they can do "later' or "over time" and they keep it on a back burner.
