Off-Page Optimization - Off-page optimization focuses on increasing the number of backlinks. Backlinks or inbound links are links to your website from other related websites. Gathering more backlinks means a greater chance of getting into top position. The two types of backlinks are one-way link (a relevant link to your website without linking back) and reciprocal link (which is getting an exchange link by placing your link to their site and vice versa).
Ways in getting backlinks are the following:
Link Exchange - First create a link directory to your website then gather some potential and relevant link partners by searching on the Internet. Make sure these sites are related to your site. You can ask by writing an email stating that: you are a potential link partner, state the link where listing can be found and also don't forget your details. You can use your targeted keywords for anchor texts and also get some potential partners for your subpages.
Article Writing - Create an article relevant to your site and submit them to different article directories. This is a good source of building one-way links. Include a resource box after the article to get more traffic to your site.
Press Release Writing - Create a press release for your products or services. You can also gain one-way links pointing to your site and submit them to different press release directories.
